Is it a wish, a dream, a vision, or a goal for you to be financially free? What is it that you would be willing to do towards actually reaching financial freedom?
What would being financially free actually look like to you? These would all be good questions to help you determine where you stand on this topic. A lot could depend on where you are in life right now.
Have you just begun a career in which you spent years in education to be ready? Is that career your passion, even if it’s a career that is not high on the financial pay scale? Can you supplement your income if you want more than your career will give? Will you be or are you satisfied with your salary? What will you do if circumstances come into play where you don’t have an income? Can you put away money to give you a nest egg for living 6 months to a year, should that happen? Do you want to have the freedom to work by choice and not necessity, or to travel?
Will what you are currently doing, or working toward, bring you to a point financially where you would want to be in the next 5-10 years?
These are some questions to help you determine where you want to be financially in a year, in five years, or in ten years. Just how serious are you, and, how important is financial freedom to you? Do you need to search for a vehicle to help you reach your dreams? You may, be satisfied where you are, and you may be comfortable looking ahead 5 or 10 years. Have you considered possible changes that could change your financial future?
If you knew that there was no limit, that you could go as high as you wanted, what would you be willing to do in order to be free financially?
Imagine this, you have no bills over your head, you are able to afford most things that are reasonable for you to have, and you can afford to travel where you would love to go. When our son was young, he used to love reading stories that allowed him to choose an ending. Now, choose your own ending to this story. It’s Friday and you open an email offering you a great cruise deal with available balcony suites but you have to leave on Saturday. Do you .....
- Go on the cruise, enjoy the sun and activities, have a wonderful time, have some great food and meet great people.
- Say to yourself, “Ugh! I wish I didn’t have to go to work next week.”

You get to choose, you get to chart your own course in life. What course are you on? Are you on course to design your own lifestyle or to have it designed for you?
