My Memory of Zig

Early in 1996 was the first time I meet Zig Ziglar. It was in Baltimore, Maryland and he was speaking at an event called Success 1996. It was an all star cast including, General Norman Schwarzkopf, former first lady Barbra Bush, Hall of famer Brooks Robinson, Notre Dame coaching legend Lou Holtz and Christopher Reeve. But I was there to see my hero Zig Ziglar. I hung on every word that day and I just knew that what Zig was saying was meant for me. I ran back stage after he spoke to meet my mentor. He spent a

few moments with me and signed my copy of See You At The Top and added a bible verse and slipped away into a crowd of fans. That day was life changing to me. That was how Zig effected so many people he touched. Zig gave you so much wisdom and you couldn’t help repeat what you learned to others.

Later that spring in 1996 I was given the honor of being the commencement speaker to the graduating class of Morrisville College, one of the colleges I had graduated from years before. Standing in front of these new graduates It was easy to give great advice from my mentor, Zig Ziglar. Quoting from Zig over the years always fit so many situations.

It didn’t matter if I were talking to recent graduates or speaking to hundreds of network marketing distributors or speaking one on one with someone who just wanted to find the secret of www.TheNetworkMarketingMagazine.com 1 success in their business. I found I could never go wrong quoting my friend Zig.

The last time I saw Zig was at a DSWA event in Dallas, Texas and it was the first time I got to meet a new friend, Zig’s daughter Julie Ziglar Norman. I got to spend some time with Zig and the red head, Zig’s wife Jean. I mostly got to spend some great time with Julie, a person who has become like a sister to me and author of a great book Growing Up Ziglar. This entire family reflects the warm and caring influence from Zig himself. Month’s after seeing Zig for the last time I lost my younger brother Ray. Shortly after, I received in the mail a book by Zig, Confessions Of A Grieving Christian and once again signed by my friend Zig and the bible verse John 3-16, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Thank you my friend, you have been a gift to so many!

George Madiou is a full-blooded Entrepreneur, complete with validating credentials, Degrees in Marketing and Management from SUNY and NYU (could ya guess he's a native New Yorker!) To date George has owned over 30 businesses, and says they varied from wildly successful to outrageous learning experiences. Among other successful ventures George has achieved high pin levels in two different network marketing companies.

George loves the thrill of teaming up with great people and seeing projects come to life and that passion is responsible for this magazine getting off the ground. George partnered with his good friend John Milton Fogg and here we all (and we includes you the reader) are, making history happen.

George lives in a small town named Boca Raton, Florida. He says "If this isn't Heaven, I know that God at least vacations here." Without question, the joy of his life is his family. He and Debbie are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year. They have two great young adult children, Sara and David.
