The theme for this month's issue is abundance mindset. I believe that mindset is everything!
Success and failure starts with mindset!
Abundance mindset can include time, money and freedom; In fact, all three can factor into abundance mindset.
A good friend of mine and I were talking about two very similar words excessive and abundant. Both words are similar but they have different connotations.
When I come across a word, I like to go back to Webster's 1828 dictionary because I find I get a meaning of a word that is not tainted by political correctness. Here is the definition of the two words excessive and abundance.
EXCESS'IVE, a. Beyond any given degree, measure or limit, or beyond the common measure or proportion; as the excessive bulk of a man; excessive labor; excessive wages. [.] 1. Beyond the established laws of morality and religion, or beyond the bounds of justice, fitness, ...
ABUND'ANCE, n. Great plenty; an overflowing quantity; ample sufficiency; in strictness applicable to quantity only; but customarily used of number. [.] In scripture, the abundance of the rich is great wealth.
Many people think that abundance refers to just money. Money is certainly a big part of the word abundance, but abundance is more than just money. When you're looking for a positive mindset, wrapped around that word abundance, time and freedom has enormous value; that is, when you have it abundantly and you use it wisely.
Abundant time and freedom mindset will serve you and those around you, well.
When we have a balance between time, money and freedom, along with the abundant mindset to create that, our life really has extreme value.
The other real similar word, excessive, has a different mindset. People can be excessive in their pursuit of money or excessive in their pursuit of time or excessive in the pursuit of freedom; Where it's all about them and not about others, so what we're looking at is really a slight difference between two similar words but that's where mindset really comes into play!
Whether you're building your business or building your family or building a relationship, the balance is so important. An abundance mindset can easily be a very giving mindset that benefits you and those around you. An excessive mindset can be negative and harmful to not only those around you but also to yourself.
So where do we go from here? We started off by saying "Mindset is everything!" Success and failure starts with mindset; and sometimes, like Napoleon Hill once said, "...it's only a razor's edge difference," the excessive mindset can be the ruin of a person; Whereas the abundance mindset can create a balance of money, time and freedom that can help you, your family and others that come into contact with you.
