Marketing – Online vs Offline, one is not better than the other.

The big companies dominated marketing.

  • Generations need to understand the many forms of getting the word out (marketing) of their products, services, companies and themselves.
  • This includes, putting down your iPhone to text someone sitting across from you. Start building personal relationships.
  • Join networking groups, that you actually attend, and that you can actually shake someone’s hand and look someone in the eye.
  • Learn the art of sending a letter, or even, send a series of postcards (we no longer get mail, and it gets our attention when we do!)
  • The old ways still work. At one time in my business career I owned a liquor store, after 3 years in my shopping center I wanted to increase traffic so I put an “A” frame sign in the back of my pickup truck, parked it on the street outside of my shopping center and it just said, Liquor Store with an arrow pointing into the shopping center. Within weeks I doubled my traffic with people asking “when did I opened up”!
  • local ads, fliers, and so much more…. Try some of the old ways, they still work!
  • We all know Baby Boomers who can’t attach a photo to an email their sending! Get over it, hire a teenager and get help and experience the leverage of today’s technology.
  • Learn today’s leverage tools, you don’t have to be great or even good at many of these tools, you just need to start incorporating them into your present marketing strategy.
  • Team up with the experts in today’s technology, you might find that, they are your kids, your grand kids or their friends. Who knows, you’ll be able to teach them the value and skill sets that you know!

Online vs Offline...... Good or Better

I think a combination of both is the BEST!
